It was indeed an inspired decision to make the short walk to Mol Ban, which is the Gaelic for blond shingle. On the map, it is little more than an unassuming single dotted line that passes by Loch na Craoibhe (the Loch of the Tree). The reality exceeded expectation by a country mile. These two beautiful cottages remain hidden from view until the last few hundred metres. They sit at the top of a secluded stone beach from which there are great views over the sea towards the Isle of Skye.
