As I wandered, alone, along the hill above the village on St Kilda on a beautiful sunny day in early May, I wondered what it would be like to walk these same footsteps under a full moon in the middle of winter… Whether my imagination would get the better of me and turn every small sound into something more foreboding, something hidden, something dangerous… And then a bonxie dived at my head and the reverie passed!
