The cliffs above the Bay of Whales on Croft 6, Dalbeg, are spectacular by any definition. They are sheer and tall and rise imperiously from the maelstrom of thrashing waves in the bay below. There is a submerged skerry that, on a calm day, provides a beautiful counterpoint to the surrounding aquamarines. On a wild day, and there are many of those in this part of the world, the vista is utterly transformed. The skerry no longer visible, the aquamarines being chased hither and thither by deeper Atlantic blues. And the noise… Sights and sounds that linger long after the tempestuous seas have come to rest.
