Description

This little cottage sits on the right hand side of the pale rocky beach at Mol Ban on the east coast of Harris. Legend has it that it used to be a shop and people would drop in for their provisions when boats were the primary mode of transport and the sea was the highway. Because it is located so close to the sea, that same legend says that it got flooded each time there was a high spring tide. I have no idea if this is true or not but, like all legends, it makes a great story.
