If Ocean Blues I was where Les’s adventures into acrylics started, this image was what followed swiftly afterwards. She was on a roll, and produced two more cracking images from her first session. Some people are lucky that way. I took my two eight-year-old grand nephews on their inaugural fishing trip to the loch over the hill, and one of them caught a brownie on his first cast. When I was their age, I had two whole years before I caught my first fish. I wrapped it carefully in tissue paper and carried it all the way home, from Wester Ross to Southampton… mostly on a train!
