Description

This is one of the lovely sandy beaches that you encounter if you make the walk to the ruined temple on the headland beyond Northton. It faces directly southwest – so, it is pretty well guaranteed to get the full force of whatever weather the prevailing wind delivers. However, on this particular day, there was a high pressure system over the Outer Isles, a light breeze was struggling to make its presence felt from the east and it was just the swell in the Sound of Harris that provided movement on the beach.
