Description

The beach at Luskentyre is on pretty well everyone’s list of must-do’s when they come to Harris. However, it pays to explore all the wonderful areas of sand and rock that are just beside the road before you get to the road-end. As the tide slides quietly in, it conducts the warmth of the sand creating an enormous paddling pool. There is colder deeper water where the River Laxdale finds its way to the sea. And there is an abundance of sitty-on rocks from which to enjoy the tropical colours.
