On a wild day, a steady stream of occasional photographers make their way to the beach at Dalbeg, to stand in front of the massive breakers for a selfie, or to take a more considered image, a myriad of lenses and filters at their disposal. There is no doubt that the subject matter lends itself to either depiction. However, there is a more subtle spectacle on show on the calmer days. The sea tranquil, reflecting the colours of the sky and cliffs, lapping soporifically on the pale sand, zephyrs darting here and there like excited imps. Regular pilgrims get to experience both ends of that spectrum, and all the intermediate hues.
