Description

This was a quiet Sunday and all seemed calm. And yet a drama was unfolding before our eyes. A couple in a small craft had got into difficulty in the Sound of Taransay. A sharp-eyed man on the beach at Horgabost sized up the situation in an instant, contacted the emergency services on his mobile and then kayaked out to provide first-hand assistance. Both people were rescued and taken to hospital by the coastguard helicopter, shaken but not stirred. A happy ending… Just.
