Description

It’s really challenging, standing on the stunning beach at Dalbeg, not to spend all your time watching the majestic waves rolling in from the North Atlantic and destroying themselves on the skerries and the cliffs. It’s a mesmerising sight. However, draw your attention closer to hand, especially to the south side of the beach, and you will be rewarded with an equally extraordinary perspective, though smaller in scale. Here, the beach is strewn with a pic ‘n’ mix assortment of beautiful stones, some rounded by a millennia of pounding waves, others jaggie having recently sheered from the headland, some populated by brave lichens, others scoured clean by sea, wind and rain – each one a work of art in itself.
