Description

This was my first trip to St Kilda, after four failed attempts! The fourth one was only on the previous day where we got to the end of Toe Head in the boat before the skipper got a call from the Ranger on the island to say that the swell was too great to land people safely. So it was very special that it was a beautiful day with deep blue skies and puffy white clouds. And better again that we were the only boat visiting that day and that the other 11 people all decided to go up the hill to Conachair after an early lunch. So, I had the village all to myself for almost three hours. Still one of the most extraordinary days of my life!
