Description

This old workhorse stands proudly in a field near Shawbost on the west side of Lewis, its once shiny red coat of paint now dulled to a matt finish by the wind and rain. However, it could be almost anywhere in the Outer Hebrides where, for many years, tractors like this have mitigated the toil of cultivating the meagre soil. Some lie run-down and abandoned where they last came to a halt after a hard day’s work. Others, despite appearances, have lots of life left in them.
