One of the best places to see the Sound of Taransay is from the car park at the top of the hill out of Seilebost, as you head down the coast. In the days of the television programme, “Castaways”, you couldn’t move for coach parties and binoculars, each person trying to snatch a glimpse of their favourite castaway. Nowadays, the scene has returned to its original splendour. Some days calm, other days wild – every single day worthy of a short stop to take in the view.
