Macleod’s Stone stands like a sentinel on a headland above Traigh Iar at Horgabost. No one knows for sure but it has probably kept watch over this part of the coast for 5,000 years or more. Who knows what it has seen over this immense period of time. It is one of the many places on the island where you get a real sense of history. Calm your breathing, close your eyes, reach out and touch the stone. You really can experience what it’s like to travel through time.
