Description

Blue is the colour of the sky and water, the colour of life. You might think a person living next to the sea might come to take the view over the bay at Dalbeg for granted, and stop ‘seeing’ it, stop being in awe of it, stop appreciating its magnificence. The reality could not be further from the truth. We spend an exceptional amount of time, staring out the window at the ever-changing scene. And everyone that comes to visit, whether a native islander or not, sits down on the settee that points west, and breathes in the panorama. The tea gets served and the scones buttered, the conversation continues, and then, it becomes apparent that one or more of our guests has tuned out, hypnotised by the blue horizon.
