Description

Dalbeg, the Gaelic for a small meadow or area of cultivation, nestles quietly in a small glen that runs from the road down to the sea. To the west is the North Atlantic and, eventually, Canada. The prevailing wind is a South Westerly, bringing in some of the freshest air you will experience anywhere in the United Kingdom. On the wilder days of autumn and winter, it’s just amazing to stand on the top of any of the headlands and lean into the wind, trying to find precisely the right angle to avoid falling over, hoping the wind doesn’t suddenly abate!
